TRAIN WINDOW BROKEN.
Probably by Bullet.

ARMIDALE, Wednesday.

As the Glen Innes mall train was stopping to
pick up passengers at Black Mountain last
night a window of the rear carriage was shat-
tered and a woman and three children were
showered with glass. The Guyra police were
notified, but they were unable to secure a
clue. When the train arrived at Armidale,
the police made a thorough examination of
the carriage, but failed to find any missile. It
is surmised from the splintering of the wood-
work on the window frame that the damage
was caused by a bullet.
