A serious mortality among stock in the Narrabri district has been revealed in a statement made by Mr. John Lehane, who removed 2,600 sheep from his holding in Walcha to other country, and in a few days lost 1,000 of their number. Subsequently he placed 4,134 sheep in scrub country west of Narrabri, and upon mustering found only 2,500 alive.
