Friday 15 December 1933, The Sydney Morning Herald

The Royal Shipwreck Relief and Humane Society of New South Wales has decided to award its bronze medal and certificate to Constable Walter Joseph McPhee for rescuing Nicholas Feros from drowning in the Gara River near Armidale on October 3; and to Henry Brown for saving Thomas Kyle from drowning at Holwood Island, Clarence River, on September 22.
